9 wks old (aka: Baby 1, Parents 0)

Here is a picture of Liam celebrating his victory over his poor beat-up parents. It could have been the after effects of two vaccinations, or maybe he was just having a bad day. Whatever it was, Liam trounced Kevin and I in a battle of wills today. Ah well! We are fortunate that the fussy days are an anomoly.

Liam is showing off his strong legs this week. He loves to stand (with mom or dad holding him), push off of anything close by (couch, wall, mom's tummy), and strrr-e-t-chhh! Another new trick is to roll his rear end up and clap his feet together. This is very fun, especially when mom is trying to change that gDiaper!

2 Months Old!

Liam is two months old today!

We visited the pediatrician's office in celebration of the big day, where a fun time was had by all until it was time for shots. Then Liam cried. So Sarah cried. Kevin didn't cry, but we're all pretty sure he wanted to.

We are delighted to report that, not only is Liam a happy baby, but he's a healthy one as well. He's 14lbs and 24.5 inches long, and doing all the things a baby should at two months.

We are FAM-uh-Lee!

... get up everybody, DANCE! A huge thank you to the Connecticut Donovans for visiting this past week. We loved seeing them and introducing them to Liam. Here he is with one of his favorite CT cousins:

My little man

Liam in his grown up clothes (Thank you Aunt Jacqui!). This kid would definitely be at home on the mean streets of Princeton.

Morning playtime

Snugglesaurus Rex

Whose kid is this?

Completely voluntarily, Liam conked out at 7:45PM last night! and slept until about 10PM, when hunger hit. This is amazing to us because the earliest we've been able to coax him to bed so far has been about 9:30. Perhaps his late night partying days are behind him? We'll see!

Sleepy Baby (sometimes...)

The running stroller makes its debut

Kevin and Liam in action!

Kevin doesn't even break a sweat after a grueling step workout.
And no complaints from Liam!

Our Friend Anne!

We had a great visit from our dear friend Anne this Saturday. Anne and Amy have a special place in our hearts. They were my pregnancy gurus, answering all and any questions with patience, caring, and expertise. I'm so lucky to have the friends that I do!!!

In addition to good cheer and great company, Anne brought us some insanely delicious orzo salad, tomato salad and pound cake. Thank you Anne!!!

In honor of his 7 wk birthday, and because I miss them terribly, Liam and I trekked downtown and met up with Amy, Rebecca and Doris at the National Gallery. Good friends, delicious gelato and a well rested baby - who could as for anything more?!

Liam at NCC

Liam made his first appearance at our church this Sunday. A success in spite of a single protest (against the bright lights) and audible snoring during the message (Sorry Pastor Heather!). Seriously, Pastor Heather is talking to us about the importance of putting others first and all you hear from our kid is: zzzzzzzzzzz zzzz snort! zzzzzzzz.

Liam vs. Giraffe 6.5 weeks

oops we didn't get around to taking this photo until Sunday. So, it's technically a six week and three day comparison.
he's getting big!
